**Tokyo, Japan** – Fans of the popular NFT-based anime “Shinobanai! CryptoNinja Sakuya” are in for a treat as the series has been officially renewed for a third season, set to premiere next year. The announcement was made on Tuesday via the official X account for the show.

Director Akifumi Nonaka, who helmed the first two seasons, will return to direct the upcoming season at Fanworks. Toru Hosokawa will also reprise his role as the scriptwriter. The third season will continue the story of Sakuya, Nemu, and Xiaolan, three ninjas who must unite to protect their city from threats.

The “Shinobanai! CryptoNinja Sakuya” anime was created as a collaborative project by Fanworks, Tokyo Otaku Mode, Tsucrea, and The Battle. It is based on the CryptoNinja NFT project, which was launched in 2021 by investor Ikehaya. The project boasts illustrations by Rii2 and has garnered a large and active community of over 50,000 fans and creators.

“Shinobanai! CryptoNinja Sakuya” is notable for being the world’s first television anime series featuring NFT characters. Its first season premiered in October 2023, followed by the second season in January 2024.
