Mon Sep 16 16:00:45 UTC 2024: ## Taylor Swift’s Endorsement of Kamala Harris Fails to Stir Voters, Polls Show

**Washington, D.C.** – Two recent polls indicate that Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Vice Presidential candidate Kamala Harris is having a limited impact on voters. According to a new ABC News/Ipsos poll, only 6% of respondents said the pop star’s endorsement made them more likely to vote for Harris. Conversely, 13% reported being less likely to support her, with the remaining 81% stating it made no difference.

The poll also found that those responding negatively to Swift’s endorsement are overwhelmingly supporters of former President Donald Trump. This comes amidst criticism of ABC News’ coverage of the recent Presidential debate, which many view as biased against Trump.

The ABC News/Ipsos poll echoes findings from a separate YouGov survey which showed only 8% of respondents being “somewhat” or “much more likely” to vote for Harris due to Swift’s endorsement. Conversely, 20% stated they were “somewhat” or “much more likely” to vote for Trump. The majority (66%) said Swift’s endorsement made no difference.

Swift’s endorsement, posted on Instagram shortly after the Presidential debate, urged her millions of fans to conduct their own research and vote as they see fit. Her reserved support comes as Harris faces declining popularity amongst young, progressive voters due to her stance on the war in Gaza. Anti-Israel progressives have protested Harris’ events, leading some to turn to alternative candidates like Jill Stein of the Green Party.

The lackluster impact of Swift’s endorsement raises questions about its effectiveness in mobilizing voters, particularly among those who are already politically engaged. Whether Swift’s endorsement ultimately benefits Harris remains to be seen.
