Wed Sep 18 02:27:00 UTC 2024: ## Princess of Wales Returns to Royal Duties After Cancer Treatment

**Windsor Castle, UK:** The Princess of Wales has resumed her Royal engagements following the completion of her chemotherapy treatment. This marks a significant step in her recovery journey after being diagnosed with cancer in February.

The 42-year-old Princess, who has been open about her health battles, acknowledged the long road to full recovery, stating, “My path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes.”

Her first official engagement since her January hospitalization for abdominal surgery was an Early Years Meeting at Windsor Castle. Kensington Palace confirmed this marked her return to professional duties.

In a video message, the Princess expressed her gratitude for the support of her husband, Prince William, and her desire to gradually resume public engagements in the coming months. She highlighted her focus on staying cancer-free and her commitment to her work.

Her return coincides with the publication of a report by the business taskforce she helped establish, emphasizing the economic benefits of prioritizing early childhood development.

Royal aides have revealed that the Princess is excited to be back at work and will gradually increase her workload, starting with home-based work and selected engagements. She is expected to join other Royal Family members at the Cenotaph in November for Remembrance Sunday.

The Princess was last seen at Wimbledon in July, where she watched the men’s final with her daughter Charlotte and sister Pippa.

Meanwhile, Prince William carried out an engagement on Tuesday, visiting the 22 Special Air Service Regiment (SAS) to meet deployed personnel.
