**Canberra, ACT -** A house fire in the north Canberra suburb of Spence this morning resulted in the tragic death of one person, with police deeming the incident suspicious.
ACT Policing Detective Inspector Matt Sprague reported that emergency services were called to the scene at Crofts Place around 10:45am on Tuesday. Upon extinguishing the fire, firefighters discovered the body of a deceased individual within the home.
A man is currently assisting police with their enquiries, though Detective Inspector Sprague assured the public there is no ongoing threat.
