**KUALA LUMPUR:** Pekat Group Bhd, through its subsidiary Pekar Solar Sdn Bhd, has secured a significant contract worth RM115 million. The contract, awarded by MF Solar Tronoh Sdn Bhd, involves the construction of a 29.99MW AC solar photovoltaic plant for the Corporate Green Power Programme (CGPP) in Belanja, Kinta, Perak.
Pekat will be responsible for all aspects of the project, from engineering and procurement to construction and commissioning (EPCC). The project is expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2024 and achieve commercial operation by December 31, 2025.
The company anticipates that this contract will positively contribute to its earnings from the financial year ending December 31, 2025, onwards.
The contract is expected to have no impact on Pekat’s share capital or substantial shareholders’ shareholdings.
