**Ibadan, Nigeria** – The Oyo State government has implemented a new policy prohibiting all meetings by head teachers and teachers during school hours, both on and off school grounds. The announcement was made by Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), during his monitoring of school resumption in Ibadan.

Adeniran emphasized the importance of adhering to the unified school timetable in all public schools across the state. He issued a stern warning to head teachers, stating that any violations of this policy would result in severe consequences.

In addition to the meeting ban, SUBEB is committed to utilizing technology to enhance the education system in Oyo State. A three-day capacity-building session was held to train educators on the use of the BESDA Attendance Monitoring Information System (BAMIS) app, a tool designed to improve performance metrics such as attendance, punctuality, and learning activities.

Adeniran praised the Universal Basic Education Commission for developing the BAMIS app, highlighting its potential to significantly improve the state’s education system.
