Mon Sep 16 15:48:46 UTC 2024: ## Lions Avoid Disaster: St. Brown’s Injury Just a Contusion and Cramping

**DETROIT** – Detroit Lions fans can breathe a sigh of relief as star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown avoided a major injury in Sunday’s loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Eric Woodyard, St. Brown only suffered a contusion and cramping, and is expected to be back on the field soon.

The 24-year-old two-time Pro Bowler left the game late in the fourth quarter, visibly hobbled and receiving treatment on the sidelines. However, head coach Dan Campbell assured reporters that it was nothing serious, saying, “I don’t think it is anything long-term, so that’s good news.”

St. Brown is Detroit’s top offensive weapon, leading the team in receptions and targets. He, along with the explosive Jameson Williams, form a dangerous duo for quarterback Jared Goff. While the Lions offense struggled to convert in the red zone on Sunday, St. Brown’s quick return will be crucial as they look to bounce back from their first loss of the season.

“It’s early in the season. It’ll be definitely a learning experience for sure for us,” Goff said after the game. “I think if I remember correctly, we started 1-1 last year and were able to respond from that pretty well. So, it’s early in the year, but it’s a good learning experience and a chance for us to dive into what went wrong.”

With St. Brown back in the fold, the Lions can focus on improving their red zone efficiency and continue to develop their dynamic offense. The team’s next challenge comes against the Atlanta Falcons, where they will look to regain their winning form.
