**Toropets, Russia -** A series of explosions rocked a military site in Toropets, Russia, on Wednesday morning, allegedly following a Ukrainian drone attack. The incident comes after a larger drone assault on the Tver region, which ignited a fire and forced the partial evacuation of residents.
According to the Tver region governor, Igor Rudenya, wreckage from a destroyed Ukrainian drone sparked a fire in Toropets, a town located in the western part of the region. Multiple reports on social media confirmed the presence of massive explosions in the area.
Firefighters are battling the blaze while Russian air defense units continue to engage in a “massive drone attack” over the town, according to Rudenya.
The military site in Toropets is reportedly an arsenal for the storage of missiles, ammunition, and explosives.
