**Sydney, Australia** – The A-Leagues have finally secured a new broadcast production deal, ending a period of uncertainty after the previous provider went into administration.
JAM TV, chaired by high-profile AFL figure Eddie McGuire, will take over the production of A-League Men and Women matches alongside Gravity Media and EMG. This two-year deal marks JAM TV’s first significant foray into live football production, having previously worked on broadcasts for the NBL and AFLW.
The new agreement comes after a six-month period of uncertainty following the collapse of Global Advance, the previous production company. The A-Leagues were left in a precarious position, with NEP stepping in at the last minute to prevent a TV blackout.
The A-Leagues are understood to be paying for the production under more favorable terms than the previous agreement with Global Advance, which saw them pay approximately $18 million for production and broadcasting on Network Ten platforms.
The new deal coincides with positive news for the A-League Women, with a new major sponsor, SharkNinja, ensuring at least 10 games will be broadcast on free-to-air channel 10Bold. However, Network Ten has yet to decide whether it will retain the rights to both the ALM and ALW beyond the current deal, which expires at the end of the 2025-26 season.
The A-Leagues are hoping this new broadcast partnership will help raise the profile of the competition and attract more fans to the sport.
