This project leverages the power of satellite imagery and artificial intelligence (AI) through Marple’s Cotton Cultivation Remote Assessment (CoCuRA) software. Data from over 6,000 fields in India was used to train the CoCuRA algorithm, which can now analyze the entire agricultural area of India (2.7 million square kilometers) in seconds to pinpoint organic and conventional cotton fields.
