Tue Sep 17 05:45:31 UTC 2024: ## Google Play Services Update Simplifies Android Trusted Places Feature

**Mountain View, CA -** Google is making it easier for Android users to manage the “Trusted Places” feature within Extend Unlock. The upcoming Google Play Services v24.37.31 beta introduces a dedicated toggle to quickly switch on and off Trusted Places, eliminating the need to delete all locations for temporary deactivation.

Previously, users had to manually toggle Trusted Places on and off by selecting each location within the feature settings. This proved inconvenient, especially for users who wanted to temporarily disable the feature without deleting their trusted places entirely.

The new toggle allows users to easily activate or deactivate Trusted Places without affecting their saved locations. The update also brings a revamped location picker, offering a more intuitive interface for setting up Trusted Places.

This latest update appears to complement the previously spotted “Mandatory Biometric” setting, which requires users to authenticate with biometrics before unlocking their phone.

While the new toggle is not currently live, Android Authority hopes Google will consider implementing it soon, given its user-friendliness and convenience.
