**New York, NY –** ESENES and RicePaddyDaddyy are bringing back their popular Tabi boot collaboration, this time in a sleek black colorway for Fall/Winter 2024. This limited-edition release features buttery nubuck leather, a black padded collar, and a black rubber outsole. The iconic “SNS World Peace” logo is proudly displayed on the outer heels.
The shoe, first designed in 2018 by ESENES while studying at Parsons School of Design, merges the traditional tabi toe with a work boot silhouette. The collaboration explores themes of racial stereotypes and cultural appropriation, drawing parallels between the iconic New York City work boot and the Japanese tabi shoe.
