**Pop sensation Dua Lipa has revealed that she intentionally avoids revealing personal details in her music, prioritizing creating music that people love rather than seeking attention through personal drama.**
In a recent interview with 60 Minutes, Lipa shared her stance on songwriting, stating that she prefers to hold back on deeply personal lyrics. “Some people are just so ruthless with their own private life that they decide to put it all out in a song because they know that it’s gonna attract people’s attention,” she explained. “For me, it was always important to make music that people really loved, not because I was putting someone out on blast.”
This approach has led some critics to believe they lack a sense of who Lipa truly is through her music. However, the singer maintains that her artistic focus lies in creating a vibrant, fun atmosphere in her music, as she explained during a previous interview with Rolling Stone about her latest album, “Radical Optimism.”
“I wanted it to be fun, but also I think it was the theme for the record. Sonically, I wanted to live in this psychedelic, organic, Brit-pop world,” she explained.
Lipa’s comments come ahead of her highly anticipated 2025 arena tour, set to kick off in Australia next March and hitting North America in September. Despite her busy schedule, Lipa acknowledges the importance of prioritizing time for herself and loved ones, a sentiment she shared with Rolling Stone during a cover story announcing the new album era.
“I think people are quick to forget. I was on tour up until the end of December. I felt like I missed out on so much time with my family and friends,” she said. “It shows how short our attention span is, which is why music comes out so much faster.”
