**Cincinnati, OH** – The Cincinnati Reds overcame a four-run deficit to defeat the Atlanta Braves 6-5 Tuesday night, ending Atlanta’s three-game winning streak.
The Braves jumped out to an early lead thanks to home runs from Michael Harris II and Matt Olson, who hit his 26th homer of the season. Jorge Soler’s 19th homer in the fourth inning extended Atlanta’s lead to 5-1.
However, the Reds rallied back in the bottom of the fourth inning, starting with a sacrifice fly from Jake Fraley. They added two more runs in the sixth against reliever Jesse Chavez.
Spencer Steer, who homered for the Reds and joined Elly De La Cruz as the first Reds teammates to hit at least 20 home runs and 20 steals in the same season since 1996, hit a game-winning drive in the seventh off reliever Pierce Johnson.
Reds pitcher Brandon Williamson left the game in the second inning with a strained left elbow, but Brent Suter secured the win. Alexis Díaz earned his 28th save of the season.
The loss drops the Braves two games behind the New York Mets for the third NL Wild Card spot. The Reds, meanwhile, improve to 4-0 against the Braves this season.
