**New Delhi:** Following his resignation, outgoing Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s letter has been forwarded to President Droupadi Murmu by Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena. The swearing-in ceremony for his successor, Atishi, has been scheduled for September 21st.

Sources indicate that Atishi’s letter to the LG requesting the formation of a new government did not specify a preferred date for the swearing-in. Additionally, she has indicated that she will submit the names of her cabinet ministers at a later date, suggesting she might take oath alone.

Kejriwal will be vacating his official residence within a week, according to AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh. He will also relinquish all privileges enjoyed as Chief Minister, including security, and revert to a “commoner” lifestyle. Singh stated that Kejriwal’s future residence is yet to be determined.

Following his resignation yesterday, Kejriwal expressed his intent to live a simple life, forgoing all facilities associated with the office of Chief Minister. Singh recounted Kejriwal’s steadfast resolve, stating, “He said, ‘I have lived in jail for six months, God saved me then, God will save me now.'”
