**KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 18** – The King of Malaysia, Sultan Ibrahim, received the 2023 financial statements for both the federal and state governments today. This precedes the upcoming tabling of the budget in the Dewan Rakyat session.

According to a post on Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar’s Facebook page, the Auditor-General, Datuk Wan Suraya Wan Mohd Radzi, presented the report to His Majesty at Istana Negara.

The 2025 Budget, themed “Ekonomi MADANI, Negara Makmur, Rakyat Sejahtera” (MADANI Economy, Prosperous Nation, Prosperous People), is scheduled to be tabled in the Dewan Rakyat on October 18.
