**Hyderabad, September 17, 2024:** Telangana has welcomed its fifth Vande Bharat Express train, marking a significant step in enhancing rail connectivity and infrastructure in the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually flagged off the new train service between Nagpur and Secunderabad on Monday. The train, boasting modern features and a comfortable journey, arrived at Secunderabad Railway Station on Monday evening.
The arrival ceremony was graced by Governor of Telangana, Jishnu Dev Sharma, Union Minister Kishan Reddy, State Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, and General Manager of South Central Railway, Arun Kumar Jain.
“Telangana now boasts five Vande Bharat trains, reflecting the Prime Minister’s commitment to rail development,” stated Union Minister Kishan Reddy. He further expressed hope for more Vande Bharat trains to serve the state in the future.
Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy lauded the initiative, emphasizing the time-saving benefits of the new service. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Modi and Union Minister Kishan Reddy for their efforts in bringing this train to Telangana.
The new Vande Bharat Express will commence regular service from September 19th. With two executive class coaches and eighteen chair car coaches, the train offers a comfortable journey for 1,440 passengers. It will cover the 585 km distance between Nagpur and Secunderabad in just 7 hours and 15 minutes.
The train departs from Nagpur at 5:00 AM and arrives in Secunderabad at 12:15 PM. The return journey departs from Secunderabad at 1:00 PM and reaches Nagpur at 8:20 PM. The train will halt at Sewagram, Chandrapur, Balharshah, Ramagundam, and Kazipet railway stations along the route.
