Sun Sep 15 16:53:05 UTC 2024: ## Christian Group Calls for Cancellation of Pro-Trump “Courage Tour” Event

**Monroeville, PA** – A petition launched by Faithful America, a Christian organization advocating for social justice, is nearing its goal of 15,000 signatures in an effort to stop a pro-Donald Trump event known as the “Courage Tour” from taking place at the Monroeville Convention Center later this month.

The petition condemns the tour, organized by evangelical leader Lance Wallnau and conservative activist Charlie Kirk, as a vehicle for spreading “hateful, bigoted, and un-democratic rhetoric.” The group labels Wallnau and Kirk as “False Prophets” who are using religious language to promote a “white Christian nationalist agenda” and swing the upcoming election in Trump’s favor.

The Courage Tour, which has already held events in Arizona, Georgia, and Michigan, promises “powerful teachings” to inspire attendees to live out their faith. However, Faithful America argues that the tour’s message is rooted in fear and hate, aimed at mobilizing Christian voters in key battleground states.

The petition calls on the Monroeville Convention Center to reconsider hosting the event, citing similar actions taken by venues against other controversial conservative events in the past. Faithful America has also called for protests against the tour.

Wallnau and Kirk are both prominent figures in the pro-Trump evangelical movement, known for their unwavering support of the former president and their belief in his divine destiny. Both have gained significant influence among evangelical voters through their events and online presence, particularly in swing states like Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania.

The Monroeville Convention Center has yet to publicly respond to the petition. Newsweek has reached out to Faithful America, Trump’s campaign, the Courage Tour, and the Monroeville Convention Center for comment.
