Tue Sep 17 08:00:55 UTC 2024: ## Ladakh Leaders Extend Greetings on Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi

**Leh, Sept 16:** Lieutenant Governor Brigadier (Dr) B D Mishra (retired) and top leaders of Ladakh extended greetings to the people of the region on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

In his message, LG Mishra wished “my Muslim brothers & sisters & all Ladakhis very best on this pious day.” He expressed hope that the auspicious occasion would bring “peace, harmony & prosperity to all.”

Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Leh, Tashi Gyalson, similarly conveyed his heartfelt wishes to “all my Muslim brothers and sisters, as well as to the people of Ladakh.” He added, “May this blessed occasion guide us towards righteousness and fill our lives with peace, unity, and prosperity.”

Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Kargil, emphasized the importance of following the Prophet’s teachings of compassion, kindness, and justice. “May Allah bless us on this day to inspire practice, kindness patience, and humility,” Akhoon said.

The Ladakh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party also extended greetings, wishing “all the Muslim communities of UT Ladakh as well as all people of UT Ladakh that this EID-e-MILAD brings you lots of happiness and prosperity.”

The celebrations in Ladakh reflect the spirit of unity and shared joy during this special occasion.
