**JERUSALEM -** Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant informed US Envoy Amos Hochstein on Monday that a military operation against Hezbollah is the only way to ensure the safety of Israel’s northern residents and return them to their homes. Gallant declared that diplomatic negotiations with Hezbollah have reached a dead end, with the Lebanese terror group threatening continued attacks against Israel unless a ceasefire agreement with Hamas is reached.

Given the stalemate in ceasefire talks with Hamas, Gallant stated that the diplomatic route is no longer feasible. He presented the IDF’s operational plans against Hezbollah to Hochstein and his staff, underscoring the critical importance of US support for Israel’s right to self-defense in the North.
