**Amsterdam, Netherlands** – Saramonic, known for their affordable headset systems, has announced the latest generation of their WiTalk9 headsets at IBC 2024. The WiTalk9 builds upon the success of its predecessor, offering enhanced features for both small and large film crews.
The new system boasts a refined design with the same range and full-duplex communication capabilities, enabling seamless conversations between 2-9 crew members. A notable upgrade is the ability to combine up to four sets for a total of 30 headsets with a range of up to 400 meters line of sight, catering to larger productions.
Each headset comes equipped with a carrying case and two batteries, providing up to 8 hours of usage. The unit can be charged using a DC adapter or USB power bank.
Looking towards the future, Saramonic is developing a remote crew feature, allowing crews in different locations to communicate via the internet. This innovative feature will be particularly useful for consultations, collaboration with remote editors, or situations where crew members cannot all be on-site.
For smaller crews, Saramonic also introduced the WiTalk9 SE, a more budget-friendly option with up to 24 hours of battery life. The SE model features a slightly longer latency than the WiTalk9 but retains the same three-microphone noise-canceling system.
The Saramonic WiTalk9 is available for pre-order now, with prices ranging from $349 to $1,349. Pricing for the WiTalk9 SE is yet to be announced.
With its enhanced features and affordable pricing, the Saramonic WiTalk9 aims to revolutionize on-set communication for filmmakers of all sizes.
