Sun Sep 15 17:33:00 UTC 2024: ## Russian Airstrikes Injure Dozens in Kharkiv, Kill Two in Odesa

**Kharkiv, Ukraine** – A Russian-guided bomb struck a high-rise residential building in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv on Sunday, injuring at least 41 people and damaging 13 buildings, including the apartment building itself. The bomb hit the 10th floor, igniting a fire that spread across four floors.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for international support to protect Ukraine from such attacks, stating that “This terror can be stopped.”

**Odesa, Ukraine** – Two people were killed and one injured in a missile attack on the Ukrainian Black Sea port city of Odesa on Saturday night. The Ukrainian air force reported shooting down 10 of 14 drones and one of three missiles launched by Russia overnight.

**Pressure on the West** – The attacks come as Zelenskyy continues to press Western allies to allow Ukraine to use long-range missiles provided by them to strike targets deep inside Russia. While the US has allowed Ukraine to use American-provided weapons only within a limited area near the Russian border, the UK is also facing pressure to permit its troops to fire Storm Shadow long-range missiles into Russia.
