Los Angeles, CA – Comedian Sam Morrison is bringing his acclaimed one-man show “Sugar Daddy” to the West Coast, making its debut at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts from September 20 to October 13.

“Sugar Daddy” tells the poignant story of Morrison’s relationship with his late partner, a “silver fox” he met in Provincetown, Massachusetts. The show tackles the complexities of grief and loss through humor, offering audiences a unique and insightful look at the emotional rollercoaster of navigating heartbreak.

“Grief is extremely isolating and lonely. Our culture doesn’t naturally joke about it, but it’s sort of a natural topic to me,” said Morrison. “Grief is full of discomfort, ironies, surprises, and strong emotions, which is all where comedy thrives.”

Morrison’s honest and relatable approach has resonated with audiences across the globe, with the show already experiencing successful runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Off-Broadway. He hopes to share his story with a new audience in LA, inviting them to laugh, cry, and connect with him on a deeply personal level.

“Any opportunity to share Jonathan with people in a real way, live, in person, is precious to me,” Morrison shared.

“Sugar Daddy” is a testament to the power of humor in healing, reminding us that even in the darkest of times, laughter can offer a glimmer of hope. The show is set to make its Broadway debut in 2025.

Tickets for the LA run of “Sugar Daddy” are now available at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts website.
