Sun Sep 15 16:41:55 UTC 2024: ## Eagles Star Wide Receiver A.J. Brown Out for Monday Night’s Game
Philadelphia Eagles fans will be without their top receiver, A.J. Brown, for Monday night’s home opener against the Atlanta Falcons. Brown suffered a hamstring injury in practice on Friday and was initially listed as questionable, but the Eagles downgraded him to out on Sunday. This marks the first time Brown will miss a regular-season game since joining the Eagles in 2022.
Brown, who had a standout performance in the season opener with five catches for 119 yards against the Green Bay Packers, has been one of the league’s most prolific receivers since joining the Eagles. He has the third-most receiving yards in the NFL since the start of the 2022 season, trailing only Tyreek Hill and CeeDee Lamb.
With Brown sidelined, the Eagles will look to recently acquired wide receiver Jahan Dotson, who was acquired from the Washington Commanders in August. Dotson, who was drafted 16th overall in 2022, has proven himself as a reliable target with 84 catches for 1,041 yards and 11 touchdowns in his first two seasons.
Practice squad receiver Parris Campbell, the Colts’ second-round pick in 2019, is also likely to be activated for the game. Campbell has been with the Eagles since training camp.
The Eagles will need to find ways to replace Brown’s production, particularly with fellow wideout DeVonta Smith also potentially limited due to a lingering injury. Rookie receiver Johnny Wilson is listed as questionable for Monday night, leaving the Eagles with limited options at the wide receiver position.
