**New Delhi:** There is confusion surrounding the date of Vishwakarma Puja this year. While some believe it should be celebrated on September 16th, it will be observed on **September 17th**.

The confusion arises from the fact that the Sun will enter the Virgo zodiac at 7:29 PM on September 16th. As a result, Vishwakarma Jayanti will be celebrated the next day, September 17th.

This day holds special significance for those who work with tools and machinery. Factories, shops, and workplaces will observe the puja with much fanfare. Skilled laborers and artisans will refrain from using their tools and instead offer prayers, recognizing the importance of their craft.

The puja is also important for those in the technical field, as they consider Vishwakarma the god of technology. According to scriptures, Lord Vishwakarma is revered as the architect and craftsman of the universe, having created Indrapuri, Dwarka, Hastinapur, heaven, Lanka, and Jagannathpuri.

While the auspicious Ravi Yoga will prevail from 6:07 AM to 1:53 PM on September 17th, the Bhadra will be present from 11:44 AM to 9:55 PM. As Bhadra is considered inauspicious, it is recommended to perform the puja before its commencement.

This year, Vishwakarma Puja falls during the Raj Panchak, which began on September 16th. The Raj Panchak is believed to be auspicious and brings good fortune.
