Sun Sep 15 16:08:39 UTC 2024: ## Ukraine Denies Reports of Ceasefire in Victory Plan, Emphasizes Commitment to Full Victory

**Kyiv, Ukraine** – Ukraine has vehemently denied reports suggesting President Volodymyr Zelensky’s victory plan includes a partial ceasefire or freezing of the front lines. The denial comes after a German newspaper, Bild, published an article claiming Ukraine might propose a localized ceasefire as part of a broader strategy to end the conflict.

The Bild article, which has circulated widely, alleged that Zelensky is prepared to offer Russia a ceasefire in specific areas, potentially leading to a freeze in military actions. The article further claimed Zelensky would discuss this plan with US President Joe Biden during an upcoming visit to the United States.

However, Dmytro Lytvyn, Zelensky’s communications advisor, has categorically dismissed the report as misinformation. He stated that Ukraine opposes any freezing of the war and remains committed to achieving a complete victory. “Nobody will give the Russians Minsk-3 or any other format,” Lytvyn said, referring to previous peace agreements that sought to end the conflict in the Donbas region.

Heorhii Tykhyi, spokesperson for Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry, echoed Lytvyn’s sentiments on X, formerly known as Twitter, stating: “No, Ukraine is not planning to accept any ‘freezing’ of the war. The source who told this has no knowledge of President @ZelenskyyUA’s plan.”

While the specifics of Zelensky’s victory plan remain confidential, he has consistently emphasized his commitment to Ukraine’s independence and sovereignty. During a recent speech, Zelensky affirmed that any peace would require Ukraine to preserve its independence.

He also confirmed he will present his plan to Biden later this month. Zelensky described the plan as a “system of interconnected solutions designed to give Ukraine the power it needs to force Russia into fair negotiations.”

The denial of a ceasefire proposal highlights Ukraine’s unwavering stance in the ongoing war with Russia. While seeking international support, the Ukrainian government remains steadfast in its pursuit of a full victory and liberation from Russian occupation.
