**San Francisco, CA** – In a move that promises to revolutionize transportation in major cities, ride-hailing giant Uber and self-driving technology leader Waymo have announced a partnership to bring fully autonomous ride-hailing services to Austin and Atlanta. This collaboration will make Waymo’s driverless Jaguar I-PACE vehicles available to Uber users in these cities starting early 2025.

The partnership builds on the successful collaboration between the two companies in Phoenix, where Waymo has already provided tens of thousands of autonomous rides. In the new initiative, Uber will manage a fleet of Waymo’s self-driving vehicles, which will be integrated seamlessly into the Uber app. Users requesting UberX, Uber Green, Uber Comfort, or Uber Comfort Electric services on designated routes may be matched with a Waymo vehicle.
