Pop superstar Taylor Swift’s public endorsement of Kamala Harris and the Democratic Party for the 2024 Presidential Election has not yielded the anticipated impact, according to a new poll.

Swift, known for her massive influence in the music industry, released a statement supporting Harris shortly after the recent televised debate, hoping to sway voters. However, a post-debate poll by YouGov reveals that her endorsement has had a minimal effect.

While 8% of voters claim Swift’s support makes them slightly or much more likely to vote Democrat, a larger 20% say it makes them less likely to vote for Harris. The majority of respondents, 66%, stated that Swift’s endorsement had no impact on their voting decision.

Swift’s statement on Instagram urged her 283 million followers to “do their own research” and make an informed choice. While she received support from several members of the Travis Kelce camp, her endorsement appears to have had a limited effect on the overall election landscape.
