**Gandhinagar, Gujarat:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the fourth edition of the Global Renewable Energy Investor’s Meet (RE-INVEST 2024) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The three-day event, hosted by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), is expected to attract over 10,000 delegates from across the globe, including government officials, industry leaders, and financial experts.

The exhibition, held at Mahatma Mandir, showcases the contributions of public and private sectors, state governments, and startups. PM Modi, accompanied by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi, visited the exhibition highlighting the event’s focus on fostering networking opportunities and business collaborations.

The central theme of RE-INVEST 2024 is “Mission 500 GW,” underscoring India’s ambitious goal of expanding its renewable energy capacity significantly by 2030. As the fourth largest country globally in installed renewable energy capacity, India aims to solidify its leadership in the global energy transition.

The conference boasts a comprehensive agenda spanning 44 sessions, featuring discussions on renewable energy innovations, country-specific opportunities, and the role of women in accelerating energy transitions. Key international partners participating in the event include Australia, Denmark, Germany, and Norway. High-level delegations from the US, UK, Belgium, the European Union, Oman, UAE, Singapore, and Hong Kong are also attending, with some delegations led by ministers from Germany and Denmark.

RE-INVEST, which was first held in New Delhi in 2015, has become a significant platform for promoting investment in India’s renewable energy sector. This year’s edition promises to further solidify India’s position as a global leader in the renewable energy sector.
