**Wardha, September 19:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Wardha on September 20, marking the first anniversary of the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana (PM Vishwakarma). During the visit, he will be extending benefits to artisans and craftspersons under the scheme.
Launched in Delhi on September 17, 2023, the PM Vishwakarma scheme aims to provide comprehensive support to skilled artisans and craftspeople across 18 trades. These include carpenters, blacksmiths, goldsmiths, potters, cobblers, masons, and many more.
The event will be attended by prominent dignitaries including Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar. Several union ministers are also expected to be present.
The PM Vishwakarma Yojana, coordinated by the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME), seeks to uplift the economic condition of traditional artisans by providing them with financial assistance, skill development training, and marketing support.
