**Ahmedabad, India** – Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated India’s first Vande Bharat Metro service, connecting Bhuj and Ahmedabad. This marks Modi’s first visit to his home state of Gujarat since assuming office for a third consecutive term in June.
In addition to the groundbreaking metro launch, PM Modi also flagged off several other Vande Bharat trains across the country. These include services connecting Kolhapur-Pune, Pune-Hubballi, Nagpur-Secunderabad, Agra Cantt to Banaras, and Durg to Visakhapatnam. The first 20-coach Vande Bharat train will run between Varanasi and Delhi.
The Vande Bharat trains are high-speed, modern trains designed to enhance connectivity and travel experience for passengers. The launch of these new services is expected to boost tourism and economic development in the regions they serve.
