**Gandhinagar, India:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the 4th Global Renewable Energy Investor’s Meet (RE-INVEST) 2024 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The three-day conference, hosted by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), aims to attract significant investments in India’s renewable energy sector.

Over 10,000 delegates from government, industry, and finance sectors are expected to attend the event, which has attracted high-level delegations from countries like the US, UK, Germany, Denmark, and the European Union. The conference aims to showcase India’s commitment to becoming a global leader in renewable energy.

PM Modi has emphasized India’s dedication to clean energy, emphasizing the country’s ambition to achieve 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030, as outlined in the “Mission 500 GW” theme of the conference. He also highlighted the role of Gujarat, his home state, in leading the renewable energy transition, citing the state’s strong performance in solar power and its commitment to green hydrogen production.

Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi praised PM Modi’s leadership in advancing renewable energy initiatives. He emphasized India’s position as the world’s fifth-largest and fastest-growing economy, with a strong focus on clean energy.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel echoed the state’s commitment to a green future, emphasizing the state’s leading position in renewable energy with over 50,000 MW of installed capacity and a strong green hydrogen policy.

The RE-INVEST 2024 agenda is packed with sessions covering innovations, opportunities, and the role of women in accelerating energy transitions. It also includes a Chief Ministerial Plenary, a CEO Roundtable, and the Solar X Challenge pitch competition. The conference will also provide extensive networking opportunities for businesses and governments.
