Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love is aiming for a Week 5 return against the Los Angeles Rams, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Love sustained a sprained MCL in the final seconds of the Packers’ season-opening loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sept. 6.
The injury, initially projected to sideline him for three to four weeks, occurred as Love was helped off the field after throwing for 260 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception.
With Love out, the Packers are relying on backup quarterbacks Malik Willis and Sean Clifford. Willis, acquired from the Tennessee Titans in August, made his Packers debut in the final moments of the season opener.
The Packers are hoping for a swift recovery from Love, who signed a four-year, $220 million contract in July. His return is crucial for their Super Bowl aspirations as the team heavily relies on his leadership and performance.
