**Kanchanpur, Nepal** – A 32-year-old hotel worker, Tilak Pandey, has been arrested for attacking a customer with a Khukuri, a traditional Nepali knife, on September 15th, 2024. The incident occurred at a local hotel in Belauri Municipality where Pandey was employed.
The victim, 30-year-old Prem Tamang from Punarwas Municipality, sustained serious injuries during the altercation and is currently receiving treatment at BN Polyclinic in Punarwas-3. The attack stemmed from a dispute between the two men, but the nature of the argument remains unclear.
Following the incident, Pandey attempted to flee to India but was apprehended by police near the border. Authorities are currently investigating the incident and gathering further details about the attack.
