**Madrid, Spain -** FC Barcelona continued their impressive start to the La Liga season with a commanding 4-1 victory over rivals Girona on Sunday, September 15th. The win marks Barcelona’s fifth consecutive victory, solidifying their position at the top of the table with a four-point lead.

Teenage sensation Lamine Yamal was the star of the show, scoring two goals in less than 10 minutes to put Barcelona in control. The 17-year-old Spaniard, who is quickly becoming a fan favorite, opened the scoring in the 30th minute before adding his second just seven minutes later.

Dani Olmo, a recent addition to the Barcelona squad, added a third goal in the 47th minute, before Pedri sealed the victory with a goal in the 64th. Olmo, who had to be substituted in the second half due to a right leg injury, became the first Barcelona player to score in his first three league games since Cesc Fabregas in 2011.

Girona, who finished third last season, were unable to mount a serious challenge despite a late goal from Cristhian Stuani in the 80th minute.

Meanwhile, Atlético Madrid maintained their pace with a 3-0 win over Valencia. Antoine Griezmann, Julián Álvarez, and Conor Gallagher all scored for Atlético, with Álvarez and Gallagher netting their first goals for the club.

Real Madrid also secured a victory on Saturday, defeating Real Sociedad 2-0 with goals from Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior.

The results leave Barcelona at the top of the table with 15 points, followed by Atlético Madrid and Real Madrid with 11 points each. Villarreal sits in fourth with 11 points as well, following their 2-1 win over Mallorca.
