Washington, D.C. – Vice President Kamala Harris turned heads last night at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s 53rd Annual Legislative Conference Annual Phoenix Awards Dinner, opting for a glamorous black gown instead of her usual pant suits.
The Vice President, who delivered a speech at the black tie affair, joined a crowd of dignitaries including President Joe Biden and numerous celebrities at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The Phoenix Awards, which are the highlight of the Annual Legislative Conference, recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to uplifting and empowering the Black community worldwide.
The event, streamed live on BET and BET Her, is the primary fundraiser for the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation. Tickets for the dinner ranged from $100 for seating in the back to $10,000 for front-row access.
