**CLEVELAND, OH** – The Case Western Reserve University School of Law hosted a discussion with U.S. Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar earlier this month. The event, part of the 2024 Sumner Canary Lecture series, covered a wide range of topics including the responsibilities of the Solicitor General’s office, preparation for oral arguments, and the Supreme Court’s emergency docket.

Of particular interest to legal scholars was Prelogar’s discussion on the Administrative Procedure Act and whether it authorizes nationwide vacatur. This issue has been the subject of much debate in recent years, and Prelogar’s insights were highly anticipated.
