Sun Sep 15 03:43:26 UTC 2024: ## Jane’s Addiction Cancels Show After Onstage Fight, Apologizes to Fans

Jane’s Addiction has issued an apology to fans after an altercation between frontman Perry Farrell and guitarist Dave Navarro during a concert in Boston on Friday, resulting in the band canceling their scheduled show in Bridgeport, Connecticut on Sunday.

Video footage from the concert reveals Farrell becoming increasingly agitated during the performance of “Ocean Size.” He shoved Navarro, yelled at him, and attempted to lunge at the guitarist, prompting crew members and bassist Eric Avery to intervene and remove Farrell from the stage. Navarro also left, ending the show abruptly after 11 songs.

The exact cause of the altercation remains unclear, but Farrell’s wife, Etty Lau Farrell, took to Instagram to provide her perspective. She claims that Farrell was frustrated by the loud stage volume, which drowned out his vocals and exacerbated his existing tinnitus and sore throat. She also alleges that Avery physically restrained Farrell and punched him in the stomach, escalating the situation.

The band, featuring their “Core Four” lineup for the first time in 14 years, is currently on tour following Navarro’s temporary departure due to long Covid. The incident has cast a shadow over the reunion tour, leaving fans disappointed and raising concerns about the band’s future.
