Sun Sep 15 13:42:55 UTC 2024: ## Jane’s Addiction Cancels Show After Onstage Altercation Between Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro

**Boston, MA** – Jane’s Addiction has canceled their upcoming show in Bridgeport, Connecticut, after a violent altercation between lead singer Perry Farrell and guitarist Dave Navarro during their performance in Boston on Friday, September 13th.

The incident, which was captured by multiple fans, saw Farrell throw a punch at Navarro, prompting crew members and bassist Eric Avery to restrain the singer and remove him from the stage.

The band issued an apology to fans via their Instagram Stories, stating, “We want to extend a heartfelt apology to our fans for the events that unfolded last night.”

Farrell’s wife, Etty Lau Farrell, provided a detailed account of the incident on her Instagram, claiming that mounting tension between the band members, particularly over sound volume and Farrell’s inability to be heard over the instruments, led to the outburst. She stated that Farrell’s frustration reached a boiling point after audience members complained about the band’s volume.

Etty further alleged that Avery, in an attempt to de-escalate the situation, ended up putting Farrell in a headlock and punching him three times. She also stated that Navarro attempted to keep Farrell at arm’s length to de-escalate the situation, but the altercation ended with the band stopping the show early.

Neither Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro, Eric Avery, nor Live Nation have publicly commented on the incident. However, Jane’s Addiction’s current tour, featuring the band’s classic lineup for the first time since 2010, continues to be scheduled, with their next performance in Toronto, Canada, on September 18th.
