**Kathmandu, September 15, 2024:** The House of Representatives (HoR) of the Federal Parliament will hold a meeting today at 1:00 PM, with a packed agenda including the discussion and potential passage of several significant bills.
The session will see Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel present a proposal to pass the “Banking Offenses and Punishment (Second Amendment) Bill, 2081.” Prior to this, he is expected to propose the review of the “Banking Offenses and Punishment (Second Amendment) Bill, 2080,” alongside the Finance Committee’s report.
Following this, Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ajay Kumar Chaurasiya will introduce a proposal to pass the “Legislation Bill, 2081.” Minister Chaurasiya will also move a motion to discuss the “Legislation Bill, 2080,” originating from the National Assembly, alongside the report from the Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee.
In addition, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is slated to present the “Annual Report of the National Information Commission for the Year 2079/80.” Speaker Devraj Ghimire will also read out a letter from the Prime Minister’s Office regarding the increase in workload, as informed by Padma Prasad Pandey, General Secretary of the Federal Parliament.
Simultaneously, the National Assembly meeting will see Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel responding to oral questions related to the Ministry of Finance.
