Sun Sep 15 15:22:51 UTC 2024: ## Harris’ Debate Win Doesn’t Translate to Polling Boost: ABC News/Ipsos

**Philadelphia, PA** – Despite a perceived victory in the recent presidential debate against former President Donald Trump, Vice President Kamala Harris has seen minimal polling gains, according to a new ABC News/Ipsos poll released Sunday.

While 58% of Americans believe Harris won the debate, she only gained a single percentage point in voter support, currently sitting at 51% compared to Trump’s 47% among registered voters. The poll, conducted between Sept. 11-13, surveyed 3,276 adults online and has a margin of sampling error of 2%.

The poll shows a slight increase in favorability for Harris after the debate, with 37% of voters viewing her more favorably compared to 23% who found her less favorable. However, this increase primarily stems from her base, with 69% of Democrats reporting a more positive view of the Vice President.

Taylor Swift’s much-anticipated endorsement of Harris, which she announced after the debate, had little impact on voter sentiment. Only 6% of voters indicated the endorsement made them more likely to vote for Harris, while 13% reported it made them less likely to support her.

The poll also reveals that Trump’s support appears to have dropped by roughly four points since August. Despite this, he still leads Harris on issues like the economy and immigration, while Harris leads on healthcare and abortion.

The findings suggest that despite a strong debate performance, Harris faces an uphill battle to convince undecided voters. The economy and inflation remain the top concerns for voters, and Trump leads Harris on who is better equipped to handle these issues.
