**Ahmedabad:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday launched a scathing attack on the opposition, accusing them of spreading negativity and undermining India’s unity and integrity. Addressing an event in Ahmedabad, Modi emphasized the importance of trust in India for attracting foreign investment and boosting exports.
“While every citizen is striving to be India’s brand ambassador globally, some individuals fueled by negativity are working against the nation’s interests,” Modi stated. He alleged that these individuals, driven by greed for power, aim to weaken India by advocating for the reinstatement of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and the implementation of separate constitutions and laws in the region.
Modi further accused the opposition of continuously targeting Gujarat, a state he praised for its progress in manufacturing and connectivity. He highlighted the upcoming production of the first Made in India transport aircraft, the C295, in the state.
Calling the current period a “golden era” for India, Modi urged citizens to work towards making the nation developed in the next 25 years. He emphasized Gujarat’s crucial role in this endeavor, highlighting its burgeoning manufacturing hub and its position as one of the country’s most well-connected states.
Modi’s comments come amid escalating political tensions ahead of upcoming elections. His rhetoric reflects a broader trend of nationalistic messaging used by the ruling BJP, often targeting opposition parties as divisive and anti-national.
