**DIXON, IL -** A beloved local eatery, Mama Cimino’s, will be closing its doors for good at the end of September after 25 years of operation. The space will be transformed into a new restaurant and bar, Lena’s Social Club, owned by Dixon natives Heather and Greg Huffman.

The Huffmans, who have extensive experience in the restaurant industry, will begin renovations in October. They plan to officially open Lena’s to the public on November 2nd. In the interim, they will be honoring all of Mama Cimino’s previous commitments to the Booster Club.

Lena’s will feature a diverse menu including a south-of-the-border theme, pizza, pastas, desserts, and brunch served on weekends. The restaurant will cater to a wide range of customers, with a 21-and-over section offering NFL Sunday Ticket games and a family-friendly dining area complete with a game room. The banquet hall, where the Huffmans held their own wedding rehearsal dinner, will be updated to accommodate large gatherings.

The Huffmans are committed to honoring Dixon’s history and culture, incorporating elements of Ronald Reagan, Dixon High School, and other local landmarks into the restaurant’s decor.

With a focus on service to the community, Lena’s will offer discounts for first responders, healthcare workers, veterans, and educators.
