**Hulunbuir, China:** India secured a commanding 4-1 victory over the Republic of Korea in the semi-finals of the Asian Champions Trophy 2024 on Monday, setting up a final showdown against China.

Harmanpreet Singh led the charge for India, scoring two goals (19′ and 45′). Uttam Singh (13′) and Jarmanpreet Singh (32′) added goals for the defending champions, who will be making their sixth appearance in the tournament final in eight editions.

India’s dominance was evident early, with multiple scoring opportunities thwarted by the Korean goalkeeper. A swift passing sequence led to India’s first goal by Uttam Singh in the 13th minute. Harmanpreet Singh doubled the lead in the 18th minute, and Jarmanpreet Singh extended the advantage in the third quarter.

South Korea, despite a strong third quarter, only managed a single goal through Yang Ji-Hun, the tournament’s top scorer, in the 33rd minute.

The Indian defense held strong, and Harmanpreet Singh’s second goal in the final seconds solidified India’s victory.

India will face China in the final on Tuesday at 3:30 PM IST. China, who defeated Pakistan in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw, will be making their debut in the final. India, the tournament’s most successful team with four titles, will be aiming for their fifth championship. Meanwhile, South Korea will play Pakistan for the bronze medal.
