**GUWAHATI, Sept 15:** Arunachal Pradesh is making strides in providing quality healthcare to even the most remote areas of the state through the implementation of the eSanjeevani telemedicine initiative, Chief Minister Pema Khandu announced on Sunday.
Taking to X, Khandu highlighted the transformative impact of the platform, enabling patients in far-flung regions to access expert medical consultations without the need for long journeys. He explained that patients can visit their nearest Primary Health Centre (PHC) and consult with specialized doctors through e-consultations, which also include e-prescriptions.
To further enhance the reach and efficiency of the system, major hubs have been established at TRIHMS Naharlagun, BPGH Pasighat, and GTGH Ziro. These hubs are linked to a network of Community Health Centres (CHCs), PHCs, and Sub-Health Centres-Health and Wellness Centres (SHC-HWCs), allowing patients to receive advanced consultations from medical specialists.
The state is further expanding the network with an additional 9 hubs currently under development.
“We are ensuring that access to quality healthcare is never too far, no matter where you live,” Khandu asserted. This initiative signifies Arunachal Pradesh’s commitment to delivering accessible and efficient healthcare services across the state.
