**New Delhi:** A significant number of cases, exceeding 4.5 lakh, have been referred to Lok Adalats for settlement through mutual consent. This initiative aims to resolve disputes amicably and efficiently outside the traditional court system. Lok Adalats, or people’s courts, provide a platform for parties involved in legal disputes to reach a mutually agreeable solution with the assistance of trained mediators. This approach promotes reconciliation and avoids lengthy and expensive litigation.
