**JAKARTA, INDONESIA (September 14, 2024)** – Five Indonesian companies have been recognized among the top 1,000 companies in the world, as announced by TIME Magazine and Statista. This prestigious list, unveiled on Saturday, highlights companies that excel in employee satisfaction, revenue growth, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices.

Two state-owned banks, Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) and Bank Mandiri, secured positions at 892nd and 914th respectively. The private sector was represented by PT Astra International Tbk (435th), PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (914th), and PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk (961st).

The ranking methodology involved a rigorous process, surveying over 170,000 employees across 50 countries. Factors evaluated included employee satisfaction, revenue growth, and ESG performance, based on data collected from Statista’s ESG Database and targeted research.

To be considered, companies needed to have generated at least $100 million in revenue during the previous fiscal year and demonstrate positive revenue growth between 2021 and 2023.

The ESG evaluation included assessments of environmental practices like carbon emissions, social aspects like gender diversity on boards and human rights policies, and governance criteria such as corporate social responsibility and anti-corruption measures.

This recognition highlights the growing significance of Indonesian companies in the global landscape and their commitment to sustainable and responsible business practices.
