**Mystic, CT** – Downtown Mystic is about to get a new watering hole. The Groton Planning and Zoning Commission has approved a special permit for “The Misfit Club,” a new pub located in the Factory Square building on Water Street.
The pub, owned by Timothy Koehler and George Majewski, will occupy a former brewery space and offer a selection of craft beers, wines, and ciders. The Misfit Club aims to create a unique gathering place for the community, emphasizing a “different” atmosphere than other local establishments.
“We are committed to being active members of the Mystic community and are already working closely with the Chamber of Commerce and others to give back by offering a comfortable space for everyone,” stated Majewski.
The pub’s interior design will reflect Mystic’s colonial heritage, featuring soft lighting, comfortable seating, and USB ports throughout. It will be open year-round, with plans to operate from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
The Misfit Club will join a growing number of bars and restaurants in the Factory Square building, including the recently approved “Dangerbar” which is expected to open next month. The new pub will be situated just down the street from Bank & Bridge Brewing, adding to the vibrant culinary and nightlife scene in downtown Mystic.
