Sat Sep 14 08:55:52 UTC 2024: ## PM Modi Promises Security, Prosperity for J&K, Says Terrorism “Breathing its Last Breath”

**Doda, Jammu and Kashmir:** In a historic visit marking the first time a Prime Minister has visited Doda in 47 years, PM Narendra Modi addressed a rally on Saturday, promising safety and prosperity for the region ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections.

Speaking to a large crowd, PM Modi asserted that terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir is on its “last breath” and a new leadership under the BJP will ensure a secure future. He highlighted the government’s focus on cultivating young leadership, a strategy he said was implemented soon after the BJP came to power in 2014.

“We, together with you, will make Jammu and Kashmir a secure and prosperous part of the country,” he declared, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts.

In his speech, PM Modi also paid tribute to Tika Lal Taploo, the first Kashmiri Pandit associated with the BJP who was tragically killed by terrorists. He criticized the “dynastic politics” of certain parties, accusing them of prioritizing personal gain over the welfare of the people and fueling unrest through nepotism.

“The stones that were earlier used to attack the police and army are now being used to create the new Jammu and Kashmir,” PM Modi stated, highlighting the positive shift in sentiment towards development and peace.

The visit comes at a crucial juncture ahead of the J&K Assembly elections, with the Prime Minister’s words likely to resonate with voters and shape the political landscape of the region.
