Sat Sep 14 10:56:00 UTC 2024: ## Medvedev Rants at UK and US, Threatens Nuclear Response to Ukraine Attacks

In a fiery outburst, former Russian President and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has launched a tirade against the UK and US, accusing them of arrogance and underestimating Russia’s resolve. Medvedev’s comments came in response to reports that the US and UK might authorize Ukraine to use British and American missiles to strike military targets inside Russia.

Medvedev dismissed Western warnings about Russia’s threats of using weapons of mass destruction, claiming they are mere “verbal interventions” and that Moscow “won’t dare cross the line.” However, he warned that Russia, while not wanting nuclear conflict, has grounds to initiate one due to Western actions.

“What arrogant Anglo-Saxon dimwits fail to admit, though, is that you can only test someone’s patience for so long,” Medvedev wrote on Telegram. He went on to suggest that Russia might use conventional weapons with a devastating effect on Ukraine, potentially wiping out the capital city of Kyiv.

The escalating rhetoric follows reports of discussions between UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and US President Joe Biden regarding the possibility of authorizing Ukraine to strike within Russia. While no decision has been announced, tensions between Russia and the UK further escalated this week with the expulsion of six British diplomats from Moscow on charges of spying.

The UK Foreign Office has vehemently denied these allegations.
